Question: what is so important about your jobs ?

Science research is really important if we want to drive a sustainable future. My job is focussed on researching the use of enzymes in making small organic molecules. This is really important, as they have the potential to replace toxic, high energy processes that currently do these reactions. Some industries already use enzymes on a big scale to do chemistry, but we would like this to become normal in the pharmaceutical industry too so that making medicines is more sustainable.
