My research won’t help with pollution in the air, but I make plastics that can degrade (break down), which most plastics at the moment can not do. Because they do this, they won’t pile up in landfills or get into the oceans. So my research is helping to stop plastic pollution.

Sadly I don’t think it’s going to be possible to get rid of pollution, but we can certainly try and minimise making more pollution in the future. If my research helps make industrial processes more environmentally friendly, hopefully it will reduce the amount of pollution from chemical processes. If everyone does a little bit I think we could make a big difference.
