that’s is a surprisingly difficult question to answers: about the age when I started to do exams I worked out that I liked science and was quite good at it. However, I honestly don’t know if I liked it because I was good at it or if I was good at it because I liked it. I would say certainly my second school before I enjoyed it!

I loved science when I was very little, in primary school, then I sort of lost some of the enjoyment of it until my GCSEs when I had a very inspiring chemistry teacher who made me want to carry on with it. From then on, from the age of 15 I never lost my passion for it again. So don’t give up on it 😀

I did enjoy science when I was at school. I thought it was different and interesting at primary school, so was excited to study it further at secondary school. Like many other scientists, having an inspiring Chemistry teacher helped me keep my enjoyment of the subject and want to pursue it as a career.

I always liked science – apparently my first words were in a sentance containing the word ‘because’, so I was trying to explain things from the start!
