Nano technology is already making a big impact on medicine. For example, you might have heard of graphene (a carpet of carbon atoms just one atom thick). People think this might be useful in drug delivery (getting the drug to the right bit of the body), medical imaging and cancer therapy. Nanobots, like you mentioned, may also be really useful for example in detecting diabetes.
This means completely new types of therapy, which would hopefully have fewer side effects, which would be a huge step forward for medicine.
However, I think that these are very early days for nanotech in medicine, and we still need to find out a lot around the safety of this technology – so I think it won’t make its way into mainstream medicine for a few years yet.

Thankyou 🙂 Do you think that any other fields of science are close to using nanotechnology?
