      Probably extractng the DNA on quite a big scale out of some E. coli. There’s lots of wierd stages in the method, and one of them causes the samples to go all white and clumpy, so we call it the ‘cottage cheese stage’!

      Burning magnesium in water – normally when you have something burning and you put it in water the fire goes out!!! Not in my experiment!

      I haven’t really done anything very weird, although I always find it strange when my stuff doesn’t work and I can’t figure out why!

      The weirdest experiment I have seen is mercury thiocyanate decomposing – it looks like an alien growing!!
